Is there a warranty on his artwork once it is purchased?

No. Mostly any artwork from an artist does not come with a warranty when sold. Artwork is considered a unique and subjective creation, and its value is often based on the perception and appreciation of the buyer. Unlike consumer products, artwork is not typically covered by warranties, as it is understood that the artist’s intent and creative expression are the primary focus rather than specific performance or durability guarantees.

Can I insure my purchased artwork?

Yes, artwork can be insured. Artwork is often considered a valuable asset, and individuals or institutions may choose to obtain insurance coverage to protect against potential damage, theft, or loss. Art insurance policies can vary in terms of coverage, limits, and premiums, and they are typically tailored to the specific needs of the artwork and its owner. It’s advisable to consult with an insurance professional or specialist who has expertise in art insurance to ensure that the artwork is adequately protected.

What is the pricing of Whilly’s art creations based on?

The pricing of artwork is based on several factors, including: Artist’s Reputation, Artistic Merit, Size or Complexity, Medium & Materials, Demand & Market Trends, Exhibition History & Awards, and Condition and Provenance. It’s important to note that pricing in the art market can be subjective and influenced by factors such as personal taste, art world dynamics, and market fluctuation. But in short, the artist sets forth the value of his/her effort.

Does Whilly have a “Maker’s Mark”?

A “Makers Mark” is defined as a distinctive symbol, signature, or identifying mark used by artisans or manufacturers to associate their work or products with their name or brand. And yes. Aside from his signature on each and every piece, Whilly’s ‘Maker’s Mark’ is known as the “Rough Back”. This means that the frame’s back side of each piece is left ‘raw’ and may retain visible resin drips. This shows remnants of the true art form and its process. No Whilly Bermudez Artwork will ever have a ‘commercialized’ look and feel. In summary, all the attention is focused on the front, which is where the art itself is created.

CARING FOR MY NEWLY ACQUIRED WHILLY BERMUDEZ ART PIECE

What is the best way to care for my art work?

Learning how to protect your artwork from damage is an essential part of building an art collection. Fortunately, there are some relatively easy precautions you can take to make sure that your art will look pristine for generations to come.

Here are some general tips for you: Click here But for Resin Art specific tips: Click here

I just received my artwork, and I would like to change the frame, re-frame it, change the backing, or add/remove hanging hardware. Should I?

The artwork now belongs to you. You can make any changes or modifications that you like. However, we do not recommend making any enhancements to the piece as it can be extremely fragile if it is one of our RESIN ARTWORKS. Acrylic prints are more suitable for frame changes etc. because they are not comprised of all the delicate materials that are featured in our Resin pieces. If you should damage your artwork and would like an estimate for restoration or repair, please click here.

RESIN ART

What is RESIN?

Epoxy resin in art refers to a type of synthetic resin, specifically epoxy resin, that is commonly used by artists as a casting material or coating to create various artistic projects. Epoxy resin is a two-part compound consisting of a resin and a hardener. When these two components are mixed together in the correct proportions, a chemical reaction occurs, resulting in a hard, durable, and clear material with a glass-like appearance.

My Resin Artwork has pieces of glass, are they dull? Where should I hang the piece?

WARNING: Some pieces of glass are dull, and others are not. Some of the shards of glass are very sharp and can cause injury/ bodily harm. Always keep away from children and pets! And hang the artwork in an area that is not accessible to touching or brushing up against accidentally. *Some customers prefer to enclose it in a shadow box, that of course is optional and up to the customer and their local framer. Does The Color In The Background Canvas Sometimes Appear Darker?

Yes. The Epoxy resin will make any canvas background or material a bit darker in color. So, if the background is a dark blue or dark green, it may appear Black.

What Is The Best Lighting To Showcase The Artwork?

Excessive Heat is the natural enemy of Resin Art. As such, you should avoid any hot yellow lighting. Soft white LED lighting is recommended. However, please test first to ensure that it is not producing any kind of significant heat. All resin art should always be kept indoors in cool to room temperature.

What Is The Biggest Threat To The Artwork? Can I Display It Outdoors?

Heat is the natural enemy of Resin Art. The artwork can literally melt if exposed to high heat temperatures and so it should be kept cool or at least in room temperature.

Is Resin Supposed To Cover The Entire Canvas Area? What Is The Artwork Shows Resin Drips Of Streaks?

Similar to what is indicated in the ‘Maker’s Mark’ Q&A, Whilly is an artist and creates art. It goes beyond just the application of Resin Epoxy. As such: drips, streaks, and drops are normal in any of his art pieces. Everything you see within one of his artwork’s is intentional. All his works are done by hand and there is no machinery used, so the look of anything that is “too perfect” would not fit the art that he produces.

Depending on the piece, you can expect resin epoxy in any part of the artwork, including the frame itself. Each piece is unique and created by Whilly according to the exact moment that he is crafting it. So please review each artwork before making a purchase as there are no refunds.

DIGITAL ART

Are Whilly’s Digital Art designs made or conceived using AI (Artificial Intelligence)?

I just received my digital acrylic print artwork, and I would like to change the frame, re-frame it, change the backing, or add/remove hanging hardware. Should I?
